I provided the hedge fund managers with research analysis on key macro issues such as exchange rate forecasting and potential returns on equity and debt in emerging economies. Economist (Intern) Asian Pacific Dept., International Monetary Fund, Washington, DC. Inflation Dynamics in Malaysia. Co-authored paper with Guimaraes-Filho, Roberto F. analyzing the behavior of inflation in Malaysia during 1991-2006, then, proposing two measures of Core Inflation: An error correction model and a measure based on the New Keynesian Phillips Curve (NKPC). We econometrically uncover the dynamics of inflation and test the forecasting power of our measures. The findings were presented to the department and its publication is pending. 06/2006-09/2006
