		Vassar College I am the Elizabeth Stillman Williams Professor of Economics here at Vassar where I have taught for 35 years. I have also been visiting Professor at UCL, Sciences Po, the Economic University of Varna and Ochanamizu University. I was educated at the University of Sussex and Columbia University. My current interests center on comparative economics and the teaching of economics in a liberal arts curriculum. This year I am Chair of the Faculty Appointments and Salary Committee and the Faculty Compensation Committee. In the Fall of 2011 I will be teaching Econ 367: Comparative Economics, Monday and Wednesday 10.30 -11.45am. My office hours during the fall are Monday 1.15 pm to 3.15 pm and Tuesday 10.30am to 12 noon. The second edition of his book, A New View of Comparative Economics is in print.
