Welcome to my homepage. I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Vassar College.  I joined the department in 2007 after finishing my Ph.D. at the University of Maryland.   I teach courses in Finance, Money and Banking and Introduction to Macroeconomics.

My research is in the area of development.  My current work looks at the use of formal credit by poor, urban households and immigrant households in the U.S.  It also looks at the relationship between crime and microenterprise growth.
