Sarah Pearlman
Associate Professor of Economics
Vassar College

Welcome to my homepage. I am an Associate Professor of Economics at Vassar College.  I joined the department in 2007 after finishing my Ph.D. at the University of Maryland.  I teach courses in Econometrics, Latin American Economic Development, Finance, and Money and Banking.

My research is in the area of development.  My work looks at the use of formal credit by poor, urban households and immigrant households in the U.S.  It also looks at the relationship between crime and microenterprise growth and the impact of Mexico's drug war.
